Invited Partners

Bearing this in mind, and in addition to the established partner consortium, in order to guarantee an effective participation in the activities and generate a greater impact on the project, two partnerships will be established in parallel with important local authorities in Portugal and Spain. Namely, the Municipality of Viana do Castelo, with about 90 thousand inhabitants and capital of the Alto Minho district (Portugal) and the Municipality of Sanxenxo, located in the region of Galicia in Spain.

The municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira, in partnership with the Municipality of Viana do Castelo, and the other municipalities of Alto Minho region organizes the Olympics4all event, with five editions already held. In this sense, continuous work has been developed in this region, namely in the implementation of physical activity programs for the elderly who participate in this event. The objective of this partnership between the Municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira and Viana do Castelo within the scope of this project is to guarantee a greater impact of the project, involving another essential community for the achievement of the project's objectives. Thus, the project team will be strengthened by establishing an informal agreement that, despite not officially joining the partnership, will work with us to guarantee a greater impact of the project in its territory and support our team in the integration of a teacher / specialist in sports in the municipality of Viana do Castelo in the development of specific project activities.

Also, for the development of this project, the municipality of Sanxenxo will participate hand in hand with the University of Vigo, making the project available to the elderly who are enrolled in physical exercise programs and who wish to participate voluntarily. The team will be enriched, for the implementation of the project activities in the municipality of Sanxenxo, with other resources that will be assigned as soon as the project starts.
